RESUMO

Objective@#To investigate the epidemiology of children pesticide poisoning, and to provide scientific evidence for effective prevention measures.@*Methods@#Pesticide poisoning cases of children under 14 years old between 2007 to 2018 from occupational disease monitor system in Bengbu were collected, and analyzed.@*Results@#From 2007 to 2018, a total of 1 895 cases of pesticide poisoning and 1 885 cases of non-productive poisoning in children aged 0-14 years were reported. Among these cases, accidental poisoning and intentional poisoning were 1 764 cases and 121 cases, respectively. From 2012 to 2014, the incidence rate was higher than that of other years. The second quarter was a high-incidence season (50.55%), and the cases were reported in country side were more than urban area. There were 63.75% for males and 36.25% for females, respectively. And 78.68% cases were found among children under 6,the incidence of age group of 3 to 5 was higher than that of other age groups. Insecticide(1 018) was the most common cause of children pesticide poisoning accounting for 53.72%.@*Conclusion@#Pesticide poisoning among children aged 0-14 was mainly non-productive poisoning,and most cases were found in the second season,county among boys aged 0-5 years.To prevent children pesticide poisoning, comprehensive efforts should be taken including strengthening the pesticide management, improving the situation of children guardianship and living condition, expending the coverage of propaganda and teaching.

OBJECTIVE@#To study the association of interleukin-10 (IL-10) -1082A/G, -819C/T, and -592C/A polymorphisms with IL-10 level and the severity of enterovirus 71 (EV71) infection in children.@*METHODS@#A total of 137 children with hand-foot-mouth disease due to EV71 infection were enrolled as EV71 infection group, which was further divided into mild group with 91 children and severe group with 46 children, and 122 healthy children who underwent physical examination were enrolled as healthy control group. Related clinical data were collected. ELISA was used to measure the serum level of IL-10, and polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism was used to analyze IL-10 -1082A/G, -819C/T and -592C/A polymorphisms.@*RESULTS@#Compared with the healthy control group, the children with EV71 infection had significantly higher frequency of -1082 AA genotype and A allele (P0.05). The severe group had a significantly higher serum level of IL-10 than the mild group and the healthy control group. IL-10 -1082 AA genotype, -819 TT genotype, and -592 AA genotype were associated with the low expression of IL-10 (P0.05).@*CONCLUSIONS@#IL-10 gene polymorphisms are associated with IL-10 expression and the severity of EV71 infection in children.

BACKGROUND: In China, mesangial proliferative glomerulonephritis (MsPGN) is one of the most common kidney diseases. In this study, we treated a rat model of chronic anti-Thy-1 MsPGN with Shenhua Tablet and evaluated whether the tablet was able to protect the kidney function. Thirty-six Wistar rats were randomly divided into six groups: (1) Sham surgery (Sham); (2) anti-Thy-1 nephritis model (Thy-1); (3) anti-Thy-1 nephritis model + irbesartan-treated (Irb); (4) anti-Thy-1 nephritis model + low-dose of Shenhua Tablet (SHL); (5) anti-Thy-1 nephritis model + medium-dose of Shenhua Tablet (SHM); (6) anti-Thy-1 nephritis model + high-dose of Shenhua Tablet (SHH). RESULTS: Thirteen weeks after drug treatment, urinary proteins were quantified and renal pathological changes were thoroughly examined at the time point of 24 h. Meanwhile, the expression levels of p-Erk1/2, cyclin D1 and p21 at the renal cortex were also tested. The levels of urinary proteins and total cholesterol in the blood were significantly reduced in rats treated with any drug tested in this study. The level of triglyceride was significantly reduced in all three Shenhua Tablet-treated groups. Renal pathomorphological scores were significantly improved in groups of Irb, SHM and SHH. Mesangial cell proliferation was significantly inhibited in any drug-treated group. p-Erk1/2 and cyclin D1 were downregulated whereas p21 was upregulated in the renal cortex. CONCLUSIONS: Our study indicated that Shenhua Tablet is able to inhibit the abnormal proliferation of mesangial cells and to prevent kidney damage, which is likely associated with downregulation of p-Erk1/2 and reduced activity of its downstream target-cyclin D1.

To observe the effect of tripterygium glycosides combined with Danshen injection on blood coagulation mechanism in children with allergic purpura nephritis, and investigate its treatment efficacy through a randomized controlled study. The results showed that before treatment, there were no significant differences in levels of D-D, APTT, PT, FIB and PLT between treatment group and control group; while after treatment, there were significant differences in levels of D-D, PT, FIB and PLT between two groups, but no difference in level of APTT. The effective rate was 90.38% in treatment group, significantly higher than 79.25% in the control group. There was no significant difference in incidence of adverse reactions between two groups. The results suggested that tripterygium glycosides combined with Danshen injection can enhance treatment efficacy and improve blood coagulation mechanism of children in the treatment of purpura nephritis, with high safety and no adverse effects.
